Taliban bans the internet.
Like something you’d read right out of 1984, it appears that the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice has banned the Internet in Afghanistan. It’s not so much the Net they are against, the claim goes, but rather all the anti-Islamic “stuff” and vulgar, obscene material that the Net is known for.
