Ants originating from Argentina have multiplied ferociously in Europe, creating a supercolony stretching 3,600 miles long. Consisting of many colonies and satellites, each with their own queens, the inhabitants of the supercolony are still genetically similar enough to remain friendly with one another, unlike native colonies that are attacked without mercy by the supercolony.
When news of the find broke, French ants surrendered immediately.
