If it’s not Back Orifice invading your privacy, it’s our favorite Internet search engine, Google. With it’s ability to spider web sites, hackers are using Google to find URLs of non-public web pages, many of which do not contain additional security and can allow these hackers to access private information.
The funny thing is, I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s Google that gets the finger pointed at it, despite the fact that it’s the fault of the web developers for not requiring additional security measures be taken before these pages are accessed.
If anything, I consider this yet another bonus point for Google, which can add “Security Verification Service” to its already stunning list of features.
