InsomniMax WoW UI suite.

by Maxator on January 12, 2006

The InsomniMax add-on compilation for World of (WoW) is no longer hosted at mendax.org. Those interested can check out its new home.

My thanks to WyldKard for years of excellent hosting.

Great compilation, and Kudo’s for releasing in time for patch 1.11.

I am a priest healer in game.
When i party heal it announces to the party text.
I find this distracting, and a bit showy offy for my taste. Please advise how to disable this function. I have tried to find it for hours without luck.

Also i very much like the click to heal buttons next to player icons in party. Does this have the same functionality in Raid and if so how do i turn it on.

Thanks!

Ludi

I managed to answer my own question.

The heal announce to party/raid is controled by “groupheal”.

I downloaded the latest version of groupheal / raidheal.
I am very happy. Raid and AV healing is a breeze now!

I am finding a bug where if i hand a quest in and then try to talk to the npc after, the game kicks me.

Same issue seems to occur with vendors too.

Cheers,

Ludi

Thanks for your question and support Ludi!!! After your post I have included the most up-to-date Groupheal in the latest version. Feel free to post any issues or suggestions in the future so I can address them.

Happy questing,
Max

Thanks for the reply.

I use the “dab” toolbars with my priest, however it is kinda convoluted and tricky to setup.

My wife plays a rogue and I have guildies seeking UI advice. I have pointed them in the direction of this page and advised against installing DAB.

It might be worth considering an easier alternative to DAB, as it is too darn hard for most of us.

Also I find “outfitter” a must have mod for anyone with multiple outfits.
It auto equips based on location and action, ie:
I have a dining setup whereby whenever i drink water, my mana regen gear auto equips, when i mount my speed gear equips, undead gear, etc. It also auto equips things like argent dawn based on location.

Cheers,

Ludi

My mendax.wow compilation also utilizes DAB, and though I’ve considered replacing it with something easier to set up, I’ve held off because of certain key features DAB has that other button layout programs don’t.

While DAB is bulky because of all the advanced features it has that most people will never use (like its even-based scripting), DAB also has an out-of-range button color and a cooldown count built in. I haven’t seen many similar programs with these features that also are resizeable and easy to set up.

If anyone has any suggestions, however, I’m sure Maxator would similarly be interested in knowing about them.

Thankyou!

On patch day,I downloaded 6 different healing mods, 5 permutations of cosmos and titanpanel all of these were buggy and crappola.

I literally checked your site every hour on the hour in the hope that my dreams would be answered.

Lo and behold this morning my dreams have come to fruition!

I know officially worship at the shrine of Max.

Everything appears to work.

I am having some issues with groupheal, when i try to self heal – click to sheild/renew etc on my nameplate it does not always respond.
It still seems to work for party and raid however.
I will keep an eye on updates for groupheal and let you know when it is updated.

Again, incase i am not clear here, THANKYOU!

Cheers and Beers,

One other issue i noticed in AV this afternoon – the battleground icon no longer appears on the minimap.

Might be just me…

I checked out this compilation about a week ago, and noticed that part of the increase in its size is because it includes all the Blizzard folders that default during install. These do not need to be redistributed, and will cut down on the size of this mod compilation if left out.

If I am to understand the inclusion of the WhisperCast mod correctly, it is primarily to receive buffs from Paladins, and the few other classes with useful timed buffs. For out-of-combat queuing and casting, this mod continues to function properly, but mid-combat, it does not work thanks to Blizzard restricting functionality in WoW’s API. I encountered this change when I intended to use WhisperCast to aid in a multiboxing experiment.

This totally sucks…

The compilation, or the fact that it’s no longer hosted here?
