It wasn’t long ago that someone said, “hacking PSPs with 2.01 firmware is impossible.” Then they said the same about 2.5. Then 2.6. Now, however, all these statements are lies.
Unfortunately, the hacks post-1.5 still don’t allow for the loading of PSP disc images, but despite that, the eBoot loader allows for the running of lots of homebrew software, including emulators, custom software, etc.
