Having recently started a new character in World of Warcraft (WoW) with the intent to help a friend level his own character, such that he can eventually play with my main, I realized just how frustrating grouping is. Grouping at end-game can be frustrating too, but the percentage of players who don’t know how to play their characters in a group at lower levels is just that much higher. It begged the question as to when players actually learn to play the classes they’ve chosen for their characters. Granted, many never learn, but given the ones who do, at what level does it “click” for them?

For those who haven’t been given a fair explanation of their character classes as far as grouping is concerned, and what roles their classes are supposed to play, I’ve updated my class role guide to v0.02. With the future in mind, the guide should serve as a fair intro to more in-depth class discussion in a future publication.
