I’m a proud graduate.
My Alma Mater, while a great school, doesn’t exactly top the significant charts most of the time. The Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) in beautiful Rochester, NY is the largest brick construct second to the Great Wall of China. RIT is also located in one of the least sunniest cities in the continental United States. RIT used to be number one in D-3 hockey, and our football team hasn’t lost a game in 50 years because we haven’t had a football team. As one can clearly see, when we’re not looking at academic rankings, RIT doesn’t have much to offer.
Until now. Despite the fact schools such as MIT, Carnegie Mellon, and Berkeley are known for their geek factor, it appears that neither of these schools are even in the top 20 for having the largest number of World of Warcraft (WoW) gamers. RIT, however, is number three, right behind the University of Washington and the University of Michigan, respectively. The implications of this are clear: RIT is among schools that graduate the most hardcore of gamers.
Take that, you collegiate nemeses, for RIT owns but two of you, and I’m sure RIT’s gamer numbers can only continue to grow. After all, RIT has but one sport they’re good at, and the lack of good-looking women means RIT students have no choice but to fondle themselves while watching night elf women do the AlizĂ©e dance. I’m so proud I could cry.

I would like to take a moment to cheer for my current school, the University of Washington! We will not be out-geeked! YEAH! And you want to talk about a lack of sun, WyldKard? Try Seattle!
I also hope that you will take a moment and acknowledge who introduced you to the inspiration for the female elf dance. (*cough* ahem *cough*)
As a side note, my undergrad Alma Mater, Western Washington University (WWU) ranks 111. I attribute this to the large portion of the student population getting too high so often that they can barely even remember how to turn their computers on, let alone play a game. (and No, I was not part of that population. I resorted to the other popular vice: liquor. Mmmmm…. margaritas at La Pinata…. mmmm)
