Virtual Console should support “lost” systems.
It spontaneously occurred to me today, after reading about the upcoming Virtual Console (VC) titles coming to the Nintendo Wii, that only a couple, well known systems are accounted for. While I think it’s great that VC supports the TurboGrafix-16 and Sega Master System, for example, I’m itching for games from systems that never really made it in the long-run, such as the Sega-CD, 32X, Neo Geo, 3DO, or ATARI Jaguar. Heck, even some long-forgotten portables could have interesting games that Wii gamers never had the opportunity to pick up.
To be honest, I’m itching to get my hands on Night Trap, the controversial title that many believe was a great factor in the ESRB being born, thanks to gaming technology letting us watch girls in bed-time clothing getting their blood sucked out by vampires. Ah, the early days of FMV.
