Though he looks more and more like Janet Reno every day, John Carmack of id software said that he prefers the 360 over the PS3, since the latter is not as enticing for developers. In the past, we commented on side-by-side comparisons of the 360 and PS3, and noted that on the surface, the specifications across the two consoles aren’t that different. However, Carmack believes that Microsoft has supported developers better than Sony has, and for this reason, the 360 is id’s preferred console, despite the fact that id will continue writing games for both systems.
On a sidenote, id intends to take a stab at DS development, but there’s still no word if they’ll bother with the Wii.
