Class breakdown for multiboxing.

My recent experience with multiboxing helped me organize my thoughts on which World of Warcraft (WoW) classes lend themselves towards the practice. In general, the “main” character (or master)can be anything, while secondary (or slave) characters are better off as ranged classes. This is because positioning becomes a concern when multiboxing, and though positioning issues [...]

My first experience with multiboxing.

There’s a reason I linked to the Dual-Boxing forums yesterday, and that reason is a passing interest I had in multiboxing that, yesterday, materialized into a dry-run on my own boxen. For those who have no clue what I’m talking about, let me step back a moment and explain.
Most online games are played by individuals [...]

Commenting is broken.

Yes, I’m aware that the commenting system is broken, and I’m a little curious as to how long this has been the case, since the site’s received user registrations but no comments in quite awhile. Maxator was kind enough to point out the problem, but since I’ve been away from the real world over the [...]

Do I look like I’m 12?

Having recently sold my house and having two weeks to vacate it, I’ve gone on a rather rabid hunt to find a new home before I end up like the homeless I bitch about so frequently. My family has kindly offered to mail me some rather nice and large cardboard boxes in case I [...]

Information about the Deadhorn Tribe, as it was initially conceived as a guild, is now online. Re-reading the old information makes me wish it had continued, and I may be inclined to bring it back if there is any reasonable interest in helping run it. Ah, the memories…

Read about Deadhorn spirits.

http://mendax.org/?p=565
I recently received an e-mail asking for information about the Deadhorn Tribe, a concept I came up with for the Tauren and Undead races in World of Warcraft (WoW). The concept became the basis for a guild I ran on the Maelstrom server, and I once intended to flesh the idea out more for the [...]

More on Death Knight stupidity.

While I briefly mentioned it before, it warrants revisitation that the Death Knight, at present, is slated to be available to all races in World of Warcraft (WoW). From a developer’s perspective, it makes some sense (albeit still limited sense) to keep the Death Knight open to race if the class is to be unlocked [...]

mendax.wow version 2.02.

http://mendax.org/?p=223
Two minor changes: the included unit frames mod was switched back to Perl Classic Unit Frames from PitBull, and DHUD was dropped for MetaHUD, its spiritual successor. The latter mod is actually updated, unlike DHUD, which has been stagnating for some time.

How hero classes will ruin WoW.

Years after Hero Classes were first mentioned, they have finally arrived. Or, will arrive for the next World of Warcraft (WoW) expansion. Or, will arrive piece-wise, after the release of the next WoW expansion. The whole thing strikes me as rather silly, with Blizzard having stated, not long ago, that Hero Classes were off the [...]
