Blogs and comment solicitation.

I don’t know why it bothers me to so much when I read a blog post that ends in a bunch of questions to the readership. Maybe it’s because I’ll comment when I damn well want to comment, and not because a blog entry asked me a bunch of silly questions. Maybe it’s because the method is really effective after all, and I didn’t think to use it first. Either way, some blogs like WoW Insider utilize this approach in their writer’s entries all the time, and I can’t be sure if the ensuing comments are a function of the blog’s already-huge readership, or the fact that the entries end in questions that prompt readers to reply.

Are you more likely to reply to a blog entry if it ends in a question? Why or why not?
